They are listed in the speedfan app in order from 0 to xx, depending on how many you have. There can be many depending on your case, motherboard, CPU, graphics card, etc. Rainmeter doesnt have a built-in function to show the CPU temperature, as this information is not available to Windows. After you run Speedfan, open its GUI and decide which temperature sensors you wish to monitor in your Rainmeter skin. Ive tried editing the Illustro skin and created a cputemp.ini. I think CPUZ and some others might support that. How do I make Rainmeter display the CPU temperature Im using the Illustro skin. It also might be possible to have the "parent" application create some kind of "log" or "html page" while running, which you could then parse with WebParser in Rainmeter. and controlling your fans based on them. What is Argus Monitor Argus Monitor is similar to the more well-known SpeedFan, in that it is good at monitoring various temperatures, S.M.A.R.T. That might be an API in the "parent" application and a plugin for Rainmeter, like SpeedFan, CoreTemp (both plugins come with Rainmeter) or HWiNFO (plugin is available from the HWiNFO site, in the post I linked to above). This is a plugin which lets your Rainmeter skins use various CPU, GPU, fan and temperature readings from Argus Monitor. You will ALWAYS need some 3rd-party application running that measures the sensors and provides some interface to the values that Rainmeter can use. Rainmeter in and of itself does not measure any of the sensors on your computer. 2) An end user can in fact use HWiNFO 7.x with existing skins and the HWiNFO plugin for Rainmeter, but unless they purchase a 'Pro' version of the software, they will have to go into the HWiNFO 'settings' and enable Shared Memory Support every 12 hours. When HWiNFO is active, my rainmeter skin displays the GPU info correctly - but the CPU temp disappears. That should NOT be the recommended or suggested long term solution. Skins contains hundreds of Rainmeter skins grouped under category headings. Hello, I downloaded a rainmeter CPU/GPU/Drives monitoring skin that requires HWiNFO for GPU monitoring. One thing I want clear up so there is no confusion. Featured contains the Skin of the Month/Season poll winners. Then just make a skin with the following: (this will output the temperature of your CPU) Output: For GPU temperature you simply change the measure to: Output: Now if you have multiple GPUs you just change the GPU0 to GPU1 for the second GPU etc. Here is a topic about getting and configuring the application and Rainmeter plugin. If SpeedFan is not able to detect your particular fan sensors, you might try HWiNFO. There is also CoreTemp, but that does not provide values for fan speeds, and thus may not meet your needs. ![]() The only plugins for Rainmeter that I know of are SpeedFan (which I posted about before) and HWiNFO. ![]() If you want both fan speed(s) and temperature(s), the options are a bit limited.
